چکیده

On account of the highly dynamic topology vehicular networks, network congestion and energy utilization are greatly increased, which directly affects performance VANETs. So, managing traffic reducing consumption in becomes a challenging task such huge mobility-based VANET networks. Thus, this paper new cluster-based method is introduced, namely, Traffic-Aware Clustering based Routing Protocol (TACRP). The main aim approach to improve management as well reduce it. In constructed network, Traffic Management Unit (TMU) introduced control entire with help RSUs. Vehicles similar speed direction grouped into cluster increase stability network. clustering model provides principles associated vehicles leaving clusters, joining updates inter-cluster communication, makes more stable reliable. For instance, proposed work CH selection on centralization, weight, distance, calculation. Such settings facilitate successfully road. Simulation experimental analysis showed that TACRP routing protocol achieved better results terms efficiency, throughput, packet delivery ratio, end delay when compared earlier methods, ECHS NRHCS.

Improving Performance of Opportunistic Routing Protocol using Fuzzy Logic for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks in Highways

Vehicular ad hoc networks are an emerging technology with an extensive capability in various applications including vehicles safety, traffic management and intelligent transportation systems. Considering the high mobility of vehicles and their inhomogeneous distributions, designing an efficient routing protocol seems necessary. Given the fact that a road is crowded at some sections and is not c...

A New Routing Algorithm for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks based on Glowworm Swarm Optimization Algorithm

Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are a particular type of Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) in which the vehicles are considered as nodes. Due to rapid topology changing and frequent disconnection makes it difficult to design an efficient routing protocol for routing data among vehicles. In this paper, a new routing protocol based on glowworm swarm optimization algorithm is provided. Using the g...

HarpiaGrid: A Geography-Aware Grid-based Routing Protocol for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a research field attracting growing attention. Current routing protocols in VANETs usually use route discovery to forward data packets to the destination. In addition, if vehicle density is low in the network, there might not be vehicles available to deliver the packet. This paper proposes HarpiaGrid, a geography-aware grid-based routing protocol for VANETs. ...
